I simply just dumb lucked my way into this. Really I did. Sure beats real work!
I was listening in my car one May day and heard the man say, "Wanna get your foot in the door of broadcasting?" To which I answered "YES!" CCR was looking for a board op then and the rest, well got me to this point today.
So, I'm just livin' the "Johnny Fever Dream," so to speak. Plus, in the times we're in, I'm just happy to be playin' tunes and getting a check!

Did you hear about this..... Seems like a very difficult situation, don't you think?
The actor who played David Starsky in the 1970s police drama "Starsky & Hutch" has found himself on the other side of real law enforcement in Kentucky.
Bowling Green police arrested 69-year-old Paul Michael Glaser of Venice, Calif., hours after he read an excerpt of his young adult novel, "Chrystallia and the Source of Light," to students at a middle school on May 10.
According to a citation, Glaser said he had medical marijuana prescribed to him in California.
Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force Director Tommy Loving told The Daily News that Kentucky doesn't recognized medical marijuana licenses.
Glaser faces possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He is scheduled to appear in Warren District Court on May 31. Court records did not list an attorney for him. (AP)

OMG!!! Seriously..... Come on LEX 18, good grief!!! I know its meant to be a serious piece, BUT...NO DOUBT, this will make naitonal news and jack wagons across the country will use it to make even more fun of us. Mystery Monday sucks!!! U suck 18!! Check it out.....
It's a story that's been told for generations. People with blue skin calling eastern Kentucky their home. As it turns out, it's not just a made up tale, but instead, a reality. In our "Mystery Monday," LEX 18 takes a closer look at the blue people of eastern Kentucky.
It's called Troublesome Creek. It looks calm, but some of the mysteries along its banks are pretty stirring. It was back in the 1820s when a French orphan named Martin Fugate settled along the creek near Hazard. In a colorized portrait, family folklore claims Fugate's skin was an abnormal shade of blue.
"There are many genetic diseases in eastern Kentucky, said Perry County hematologist Doctor Hassan Ghazal. He said a rare blood disorder called "methemoglobinemia" affected Fugate. The disorder leads to to excess hemoglobin, which are oxygen issues in the body, and the resulting blue-tinted skin, purple lips, and chocolate-colored blood are still seen in some in the area almost 200 years later.
Dora Miller, 30, who didn't want us to show her face, is a descendant of these "blue people" and suffers from the same ailment. An outbreak caused her to turn all blue just a month ago.
"I wish I had never been born," said Miller. "Everyone laughs and makes jokes about it and it just hurts."
According to Doctor Ghazal, the disorder can only be inherited if both parents have the gene. Then there's a 25% chance it'll be passed to offspring.
With a dramatic decline in the number of cases only happening in the last few decades, medical experts say members of the Fugate family and their neighbors were reproducing with one another. "The presence of the gene was there and the inbreeding helped keep it there," said Doctor Ghazal, who said that he still has about a dozen patients with "methemoglobinemia," including Miller.
But Ghazal said there is another way to contract the disorder through exposure to certain drugs or chemicals. Miller says unlike her ancestors, she got the disease from her mother, who ingested nitrates in water during pregnancy.
"Just hearing people talk about it and act like they know all about it, it just makes me mad," said Miller. "Because they don't know the whole story."
With the people affected by "methemoglobinemia" continuing to disperse, Ghazal expects it's only a matter of time until the inherited version of the disorder disappears.
Medical experts say Vitamin C is used to combat the disorder. While the ailment has been seen in other parts of the world, Doctor Ghazal says eastern Kentucky has the highest concentration of any area.
Again...... I know it meant to be a serious piece, BUT...GOOD GRIEF!!
By the way, someone please tell Bill Meck that is WKEQ or WSEK when he does weather temps from the Tateville tower! Not WSER, or WREQ that's been displayed. Come own man!!!!
